Twins at Orioles Series Preview

The Twins are coming off a season-opening series win at home against the Tigers, and now begin a six-game road trip starting in Baltimore. Liam Hendriks will face Jake Arrieta at 2:05 today at Camden Yards in Baltimore’s home opener.

The Orioles were a surprise last year, winning 93 games to break a string of 14 consecutive losing seasons, and making the playoffs for the first time since 1997. You can read here about the similarities between the 2012 Orioles and the 2013 Twins. The Twins lost the series last year against the Orioles 2-5.

Baltimore began the season by taking 2 of 3 on the road against the Rays. First baseman Chris Davis has hit a home run in each of the Orioles first three games.

Brian Dozier returns after a day off, Ryan Doumit gets his first start behind the plate, and Eduardo Escobar starts his first game of the season.
