The Minnesota Twins announced this morning that they have optioned Alex Burnett to Rochester, meaning their Opening Day roster is most likely set. Burnett had been battling Josh Roenicke and Tyler Robertson for the final spots in the bullpen. He had a solid last outing, but it was apparently too little, too late. Here’s the breakdown:

CATCHERS (2): Joe Mauer, Ryan Doumit

INFIELDERS (6): Justin Morneau, Brian Dozier, Pedro Florimon, Trevor Plouffe, Jamey Carroll, Eduardo Escobar

OUTFIELDERS (5): Josh Willingham, Aaron Hicks, Chris Parmelee, Darin Mastroianni, Wilkin Ramirez

ROTATION (5): Vance Worley, Mike Pelfrey, Kevin Correia, Liam Hendriks, Cole DeVries

BULLPEN (7): Glen Perkins, Jared Burton, Brian Duensing, Casey Fien, Ryan Pressly, Roenicke, Robertson

Tim Wood, Rich Harden and Rafael Perez are still in camp, but Wood is injured and Harden and Perez have yet to pitch in a game this spring. Hendriks was removed from his start yesterday after bruising his hand protecting his face from a comebacker to the mound, but is expected to be ready by his first scheduled start. If not, PJ Walters was the last healthy starter cut from camp.
