Minus One, Plus One

Minus One:

This week – and just on the heels of Erin’s departure – we lost another member of the Puckett’s Pond family. Steve Fetch, who has been a part of our network’s Twins coverage since June of 2009 submitted his resignation earlier this week. I am greatly saddened by Steve’s decision, but honestly, in this case, I figured it was a matter of time.

The fact he has carried on for so long balancing a ridiculous amount of class work as well as other responsibilities with the FanSided Network is a testament to his commitment to the MLB team. Further, the 316 articles Steve published in the 21-months since he decided to cover the Minnesota Twins for our network provides a clear statement about how much he loves the team. As with Erin, the door will remain open for Steve to return to our staff if his time will allow in the future.

While Steve is leaving Puckett’s Pond, he will continue on with FanSided and keep his position as the Lead Writer for The College Hockey Blog.

Plus One:

The news isn’t all sad and depressing however so I’d like to switch gears and welcome the newest member to the Puckett’s Pond staff, Adam Krueger. You may recognize the name. Adam has been writing over on The Bat Shatters since April of 2009.

Adam was raised in Minnesota and attended Park Center High School. Like yours truly, he left the Land of 10,000 Lakes for college, met a girl who loved baseball, got married and settled elsewhere. In his case, Lombard, Illinois is the place he now calls home, but being “away” hasn’t adversely impacted his love for the Twins. A fact which will be very clear as you read his work.

Speaking of that, his first article will be up in just a few minutes.
