Per MiLB.com’s Jonathan Mayo, Twins “prospect” Anthony Slama has been added to the Futures Game roster.
The 26 year old has a 1.30 ERA and a .91 WHIP for AAA Rochester. He is also striking out almost a third of the batters he faces.
Slama doesn’t have the best stuff, and the righty relies mostly on deception created by his delivery, but with the recent struggles of the Twins bullpen I imagine he’ll be up in Minneapolis before too long.
Slama joins Ben Revere and Liam Hendriks as Twins reps in the game. ed. forgot about Hendriks’s appendectomy. My bad.
