The Minnesota Twins' Triple-A affiliate, the St. Paul Saints, kicked off the Field of Dreams week with a matchup against the Iowa Cubs (Chicago Cubs' Triple-A affiliate) at the field adjacent to the iconic Field of Dreams movie (1989) site in Dyersville, Iowa, on Tuesday. The 2026 High School All-American Game will be played at the field on Wednesday before the highlight of the week, a matchup between the Twins and Philadelphia Phillies, begins on Thursday night (available to stream on Netflix).
The Iowa Cubs defeated the Saints 6-3 on Tuesday night in Iowa. While the Saints lost, several Twins prospects still took advantage of the spotlight.
2 Twins prospects with strong performances in Saints' Field of Dreams Game
CF Walker Jenkins (Twins' No. 1 prospect)
Jenkins reached base in two of his five plate appearances, good for a .400 on-base percentage. The Twins' No. 1 overall prospect collected a single and a walk.
Jenkins, MLB Pipeline's No. 14 overall prospect, should reach the majors this year. The outfielder has slashed .281/.376/.462 with six home runs, 17 RBI and 13 stolen bases across 58 games with the Saints in 2026.
3B Ben Ross (Twins' No. 17 prospect)
Ross got the scoring started on Tuesday with a 394-foot home run into the cornfield in the top of the first inning. Ross struck out in the rest of his at-bats, but his home run nonetheless made it a solid game for the third baseman.

Ross is a utilityman, having logged innings at shortstop, third base, second base, center field and left field this season. In 87 games since being promoted to Triple-A earlier in the year, Ross has hit .260/.372/.484 with 13 home runs, 50 RBI and 11 stolen bases.
2 Twins prospects who disappointed in Saints' Field of Dreams Game
LF Emmanuel Rodriguez (Twins' No. 3 prospect)
Rodriguez worked a walk in the game, but it was an otherwise disappointing performance for the outfielder, as he went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts. It's just one game, so there's no reason to be upset he didn't shine in the spotlight.
Tuesday's game was Rodriguez's first since being reinstated from the 60-day injured list. He had completed a nine-game rehab assignment before the game.
Rodriguez has hit .238/.411/.488 with six home runs and 18 RBI over 26 games with St. Paul this season.
RHP Alejandro Hidalgo (Unranked)
Left-hander Kendry Rojas started for St. Paul on Tuesday and allowed just one earned run on three hits and a walk over four innings. Hidalgo relieved Rojas in the bottom of the fifth, and it didn't go well.
Hidalgo, 23, struck out the first batter he faced. Then it all went downhill. Ben Cowles and Jordan Nwogu hit back-to-back home runs. Justin Dean and Owen Ayers followed with back-to-back walks and scored on a three-run home run from BJ Murray. The Saints' manager removed Hidalgo from the game after Murray's homer.
