Win it for the Kansas City Royals! That might be the battle cry for the Minnesota Twins for this season finale series with the Detroit Tigers. If the Twins win some games and Kansas City wins some games, the Royals might just be able to sneak into the AL Central champion’s seat. The Twins did their job on Friday night.

The Twins scored 11 runs in their outing, including a three run first inning and a four-run sixth inning.

It was not a good night to be Rick Porcello. Porcello only lasted 3.2 innings giving up six runs during his time on the mound. Kyle Ryan came in relief of Porcello and gave up another three runs. Ryan lasted 1.1 innings.

Anthony Swarzak didn’t exactly last long either. Swarzak went  4.1 innings while giving up three runs on seven hits, but the bullpen closed the door for the most part. A.J. Achter surrendered a run in his relief appearance.

Offensive MVPs of the game for the Twins go to Brian Dozier and Oswaldo Arcia. Both players knocked in three runs in the game. Dozier went 3-for-5 with a homerun while Arcia went 2-for-4 with a homerun.

Here’s the boxscore for the big 11-4 Twins victory.
