It’s redemption day for Kyle Gibson. Gibson throughout 2014 has been the Twins second best pitcher, but put up one of the worst outings of the year in his last start. The Twins will try to make it two a row and take the series lead in this four game set tonight out in the great northwest.

Minnesota Twins (40-49) Lineup

Brian Dozier 2B

Eduardo Nunez SS

Trevor Plouffe 3B

Kendrys Morales DH

Josh Willingham LF

Oswaldo Arcia RF

Kurt Suzuki C

Chris Colabello 1B

Seattle Mariners (49-41) Lineup

Endy Chavez LF

James Jones CF

Robinson Cano 2B

Kyle Seager 3B

Logan Morrison 1B

Corey Hart DH

Michael Saunders RF

Mike Zunino C

Brad Miller SS

First Impressions

  • Chris Colabello hitting eighth is weird.
  • Sam Fuld is doing pretty darn good recently, but still stuck in the nine hole.
  • Robinson Cano: once mentioned on every single SportsCenter, now buried in the West Coast.
  • Pot is legal in Washington now. Maybe that’s why no one can score more than two runs in this series.
  • Does pot help or hurt Starbucks?
  • I feel a Kendrys Morales bomb tonight… or maybe indigestion.

Game Time

First pitch is scheduled for 9:10 central from Safeco Field in Seattle, Washington.

Game can be seen on Fox Sports North, along with a bleep-ton of All-Star game stuff, and heard on the Twins Radio Network.
