It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, which is a good thing since Christmas is only a stone’s throw away. Just because it’s the heart of the holiday season doesn’t mean that there isn’t Twins news and notes for use to inhale.

Here’s this week’s Minnesota Twins Weekend Web Gems!

Jesse from Twinkie Town improves the Twins with just three players. He kind of cheats only really adding two players, just click here and find out.

It was reported last weekend that Mike Pelfrey will be returning to the Minnesota Twins. Some fans aren’t too thrilled. For those of you, Twins Daily’s Nick Nelson has found some positives to the return of the Big Pelf.

Need more reassurance on the Pelfrey signing? The Tenth Inning Stretch lists the five reasons the move could be a steal for the Twinkies.

Jim Crikket from Knuckleballs examines if Terry Ryan truly has changed his stripes. Also he lays out what he would do (like signing Stephen Drew!).

Derek Wetmore of 1500 ESPN says that the trade of Ryan Doumit to the Atlanta Braves could mean good things for the recently reacquired Jason Kubel. I say that it should be a good deal for Josh Willingham.

Need to know how long until real baseball is back again? The Star Tribune has a countdown until catchers and pitchers report on their website. This could be either exciting or depressing depending on your mood. Viewer discretion advised.

It’s almost Christmas so I need to squeeze in another Christmas album. I really like Lady Antebellum’s ‘On This Winter’s Night’…

Also, I listened to Lady Gaga’s last album ‘Artpop’ last weekend and I love it. It’s really good and I’m a country hick. Enjoy!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at Puckett’s Pond. Here’s to hoping there’s Twins season tickets or at least All-Star game tickets tucked under the tree or stuffed in your stocking.
