Let's Come Together: Setting the AL Central All-Division Team

Over the next several weeks, Puckett’s Pond will be joining forces with the other AL Central sites here on FanSided to choose our All-Division team.

Once we’ve worked with the writers from Kings of Kauffman (Royals), Motor City Bengals (Tigers), Deep Left Field (Indians) and Southside Showdown (White Sox) to select the best team we can muster, the AL Central roster will face off against the AL East and AL West All-Division teams in a fan vote hosted by our MLB flagship site Call to the Pen. The AL winner will then advance to face off against the NL division selected by the same method and another fan vote will be held.

When the dust has settled and the voting has been completed, one All-Division team will reign supreme.

A few other notes relevant to this collaboration:

The rosters will consist of: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF x3, DH (AL Only), SP x5, one setup man and a closer.

In the event that the 5 of us cannot come to a consensus regarding which player should represent our team at a given position, a poll will be held on Kings of Kauffman with the top vote getter taking the roster spot. These player polls, if they wind up being necessary, will only last for 24-hours.

If you have any insight or recommendations on who should make the AL Central team, please feel free to leave a comment at the end of this post, send me a message on Twitter, or drop a note on our Facebook page.

I will of course keep all of you updated as this project progresses.
