Byron Buxton Taken To Hospital After Outfield Collision
Wednesday night was supposed to be a joyful night for Byron Buxton as he made his debut at Double-A New Britain in his climb to the major leagues. Buxton collided with a teammate in the outfield in Wednesday’s game and was taken to the hospital on a stretcher. The following are some tweets from Dom Amore, a writer for the Hartford Courant, who was in attendance.
Twins GM Terry Ryan: Byron Buxton has a concussion. He's now alert, under observation. Will go thru concussion protocol. No other injuries

Told Buxton was knocked out in collision with teammate, but was conscious and talking as he was taken off the field.

Buxton, who was parallel to the ground, appeared to hit his left shoulder/neck with RF mike kvasnicka's knee. A violent collusion.
