Everyone in Twins Territory is on the edge of their seat waiting to find out what Minnesota Twins player or players will be gracing Target Field with their presence during this year’s All-Star Game. We do know that one man in a Twins uniform will be in the familiar home dugout.

American League manager John Farrell said Tuesday that Twins manager Ron Gardenhire would be part of his All-Star staff. Farrell also said that Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona will be on his coaching staff. Farrell is the manager of the Boston Red Sox who are in Minneapolis taking on the Minnesota Twins this week.

All-Star Game managers are the managers of the previous year’s World Series. St. Louis Cardnials manager Mike Matheny will be the manager of the National League Squad.

Brian Dozier, Kurt Suzuki, Glen Perkins and Joe Mauer look to be the top candidates for making the All-Star game as players.
