Gordon was just taken in June in the Amateur Draft with the fifth selection overall. Gordon has been playing with the Elizabethton Twins of the Appalachian League. Elizabethon is currently in the playoffs after going 38-30 in their regular season schedule.
Gordon played in 52 games with Elizabethton and had a .294/.333/.366 line in those games. Gordon also contributed 28 RBI with six doubles, four triples, a home run and 11 stolen bases.
Gordon played 49 of the games at shortstop with seven other appearances at designated hitter.
Nick Gordon is the son of ex-MLB pitcher Tom ‘Flash’ Gordon and the brother of current Los Angeles Dodger Dee Gordon.
