Minnesota Twins Game 108: Lineups and First Impressions

facebooktwitterreddit

After dropping two of three games to the Kansas City Royals on the road at Kauffman Stadium, the Minnesota Twins head to the south side of Chicago to take on the White Sox.  After nearly being swept by Chicago earlier in the week, the Twins will be looking for a bounce back performance.

Tonight for the Twins, Logan Darnell will toe the rubber.  He will be opposed by the White Sox ace, Chris Sale.  Sale will look to dominate the Twins as he did in his last start, while Darnell will be looking for a bounce back performance.

Here is how both teams will line up:

Minnesota Twins (48-58)

Danny Santana CF

Brian Dozier 2B

Trevor Plouffe 3B

Josh Willingham LF

Kurt Suzuki C

Kennys Vargas 1B

Chris Colabello DH

Chris Parmelee RF

Eduardo Escobar SS

Chicago White Sox (53-56)

Adam Eaton CF

Gordon Beckham 2B

Jose Abreu 1B

Paul Konerko DH

Alexei Ramirez SS

Conor Gillaspie 3B

Tyler Flowers C

Alejandro De Aza LF

Moises Sierra RF

First Impressions:

  • The career of Kennys Vargas begins tonight, he will be making his first start for the Minnesota Twins at 1B and batting 6th.
  • Chris Colabello and Chris Parmelee are both in the lineup tonight, interesting to see both of them along with Willingham.
  • Brian Dozier is back at his rightful home at second base.
  • The White Sox stayed put with their roster during the trade deadline and feature no new names, however Adam Dunn is not in the lineup tonight for the South Siders.
