Minnesota Twins Game 107: Lineups and First Impressions

The Minnesota Twins will be looking to get back into the win column tonight as the take on the Kansas City Royals in the rubber match of the series.  After winning the opening game behind a strong start from Kyle Gibson, last night saw Phil Hughes only give up three runs but take the loss.

Tonight for the Twins, Kevin Correia will take the mound.  He will be opposed by Yordano Ventura, the Royals fireballing young rookie.

First Impressions:

  • Today the Twins were able to sign Kurt Suzuki to a contract extension, however he will not be in the lineup tonight for the Twins.
  • Brian Dozier also gets a day of rest tonight for the Twins against Ventura.
  • Oswaldo Arcia makes his return to the lineup following a couple days off after the birth of his child.
  • The Royals are going to be playing without both Billy Butler and Nori Aoki in their lineup tonight.  Butler had been on a nice stretch but hasn’t been himself this season.
