The dream is not dead for Yohan Pino after all! The Minnesota Twins had demoted Pino on Thursday after a not too great start on Wednesday to make room for Jorge Polanco. On Friday, the Twins put Danny Santana on the 15 Day disabled list and recalled Pino. Pino had never even left the team.

Santana was injured with a bruised knee. It was discovered that the injury was just a bruise after an MRI on Thursday. Knees are always quite worrisome, so a bruise is a good thing. Manager Gardenhire had been quoted saying that he was not sure what the team would do with a hobbled Santana.

Pino is scheduled to make his next start on Monday at Target Field against the Kansas City Royals.

This is the first season the 30-year-old has reached the major leagues. Pino sports a 6.30 ERA and a 1.40 WHIP over 10 innings in two starts with the Twins.
