I think this one is going to start on time. Yesterday’s game was virtually a West Coast game without actually being on the West Coast, after the lengthy rain delay. It’s been sunny in Minnesota for most of the day and there should really be no weather to speak of. Maybe we want weather if that means multiple RBI from Joe Mauer.

Minnesota Twins (33-38) Lineup

Danny Santana SS

Brian Dozier 2B

Joe Mauer 1B

Josh Willingham LF

Kendrys Morales DH

Kurt Suzuki C

Oswaldo Arcia RF

Eduardo Escobar 3B

Sam Fuld CF

Chicago White Sox (35-38) Lineup

Adam Eaton CF

Gordon Beckham 2B

Conor Gillaspie 3B

Jose Abreu 1B

Adam Dunn DH

Alexei Ramirez SS

Dayan Viciedo RF

Alejandro De Aza LF

Tyler Flowers C

First Impressions

  • Oswaldo Arcia is back! Hooray!
  • This division is horrid. Like really, really horrid.
  • Jose Abreu just another Twins killer in waiting. Hell, he’s not really even waiting.
  • Can we get an Adam Dunn/Kendrys Morales foot race? I really just want to see Morales in a foot race.
  • Do it again, Mauer. Make me believe you are still a darn good ballplayer. Do it.

Game Time

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 Central from beautiful Target Field in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Game can be seen on FOX Sports North and heard on the Twins Radio Network.
