Ah, San Francisco. A rare trip for the Twins to the Bay Area, which is a shame since AT&T Park looks absolutely gorgeous. AT&T Park is on my list of stadiums I have to go to, so if the Twins and Giants just want to make this a World Series preview, I’d be grateful.

World Series preview? Yes! Coming into Friday’s the play, the Twins currently hold the second American League Wild Card spot.

Minnesota Twins (23-21) Lineup

Brian Dozier 2B

Joe Mauer 1B

Trevor Plouffe 3B

Chris Parmelee RF

Kurt Suzuki C

Jason Kubel LF

Eduardo Escobar SS

Aaron Hicks CF

Kyle Gibson P

San Francisco Giants (29-18) Lineup

Angel Pagan CF

Hunter Pence RF

Buster Posey 1B

Pablo Sandoval 3B

Michael Morse LF

Hector Sanchez C

Brandon Crawford SS

Brandon Hicks 2B

Tim Lincecum P

First Impressions

  • Lincecum sounds intimidating to a guy that doesn’t get a lot of West Coast exposure, but he’s currently 3-3 with a 4.74 ERA. This isn’t Cy Young Tim Lincecum.
  • KUNG FU PANDA! Sorry, Pablo Sandoval is kind of my spirit animal.

Game Time

First pitch is scheduled for 9:15 central from scenic AT&T Park in San Francisco.

Can be seen on FOX Sports North and heard on the Twins Radio Network.
