The Minnesota Twins roster is a carousel. From injuries to retirements to players being claimed on waivers, the Twins have seen it all and it is becoming quite evident how butchered the roster management is for the Twins. Here’s what’s up now.

Sam Fuld, who was acquired just a couple weeks ago on Easter, has been placed on the seven day disabled list with a concussion. The irony is that Fuld had become the everyday centerfielder after Aaron Hicks was placed on the seven day DL a week ago. This latest concussed Twin forced Eduardo Escobar to patrol center for the Twins on Thursday afternoon.

The Twins have called up Eduardo Nunez to take Fuld’s roster spot. Nunez showed up to the ballpark sometime during Thursday’s game since he was in close proximity while Triple-A Rochester was playing in Columbus, Ohio.

The Twins recently called up Matt Guerrier to the active roster; this forced the team to make a move. Left-handed pitcher Brooks Raley was put on waivers and was claimed by the Angels.

Joe Mauer is still taking up a bench spot despite not playing since Sunday. Mauer was taken out due to back spasms during that game and was said to be doing better on Monday. It’s four games later and Mauer has yet to set foot on the field.

Someday this will all make sense or maybe it won’t. I can’t read this team anymore.
