Minnesota Twins Rumblings: Stephen Drew, Chone Figgins & Bronson Arroyo

In listening to hour one of the Judd Zulgad extravaganza on 1500 ESPN, Zulgad was joined by Darren ‘Doogie’ Wolfson of KSTP-TV and at the very end of the hour, Doogie gave out some baseball notes that were of interest.

  • Chone Figgins is attempting to make a comeback to the MLB. Figgins had a workout/showcase in Florida on Wednesday and the Twins had a scout in attendance. Figgins did not play in 2013 and only played in 66 games in 2012 and 81 in 2011.
  • Doogie said that Bronson Arroyo has multiple contractual offers, but he did not know if the Twins were one of those teams.
  • The Twins would take Stephen Drew and surrender that second round draft pick if he fill into the Twins lap, according to Wolfson. Wolfson threw out the numbers of 3-years and $30 million to when the Twins would bite.

There’s not much going on out in Twins Territory, but Doogie always delivers some interesting notes.
