The first full week of January has come and gone in Twins Territory, which means we are just that much closer to Spring Training and some actual baseball to talk about. Even if there isn’t a great amount of real baseball to talk about there is still a lot of great web gems out there when it comes to Twins coverage. Let’s check ‘em out!

In honor of the POLAR VORTEX, Brandon Warne of Twinkie Town broke down the coldest games in the history of the Minnesota Twins. I suggest drinking something warm while reading.

We all need a little bit of optimism in our lives and our Minnesota Twins fandom. Nick Nelson of Twins Daily writes about trying to find the optimism in the team’s offense.

You have a handle of what clutch is, right? Did you know that clutch was an actual stat? The Tenth Inning Stretch breaks down which Twins players are the most clutch.

Byron Buxton is good, but there’s still keys to an offseason for such a stud prospect. Cody Christie, North Dakota Twins Fan, explains what that key is for Buxton.

I have a man crush on Eduardo Escobar. Paul Pleiss went down that path on the latest Talk to Contact Podcast. Brad Swanson is pushing his ‘Eddie 400’ campaign and I’m fully behind it.

On the search for research for my interview with Twins head groundskeeper Larry DiVito, I came across this video from SB Nation of Wade Boggs, who’s wearing an awesome Hawaiian shirt, who joined DiVito on the field for a game.

It’s the FINAL COUNTDOWN… to pitchers and catchers reporting via the Star Tribune.

Enjoy the warm up, Twins Territory. We’re so close to baseball, just hold on.
