Another week has past, here in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin (because that’s technically where I am most of the time) we have experienced our first dusting of snow. It was really quite pretty when it was falling and I can’t say I shed a tear when it was all melted away the following morning, either.

Here at the Pond, we are focused on the stove and so are all of our friends across the blogosphere and the interwebs. Let’s see what’s cooking across the burners:

Over at Twinkie Town, Jesse and his fellow SB Nation GMs are currently holding their Winter Meetings. I think this is a fun exercise to check out and the Minnesota Twins would be rocking if they also made the moves Jesse has thus far.

Do you want a really in-depth look at why the Twins pitching wasn’t that great? With colorful graphs and it not just being me saying, ‘hey, they suck’? Then I suggest heading over to Twins Daily were Parker Hageman breaks this baby all the way down.

—-

Also on Twins Daily, Nick Nelson highlights that the Twins can’t be taking any shortcuts in this rebuilding effort and they will spend money this off-season. That’s a train I think we can all get on.

—-

Brian Dozier was named the Twins Wilson Defensive Player of the Year on Thursday. The Pioneer Press has a blurb on the honor for the second-baseman.

—-

Patrick Reusse highlights his encounter with an autograph seeker down at the Fall Leagues in Arizona and it’s an interesting read over on the Star Tribune. Also Pat refers to the Washington Nationals as the Senators, a mistake I’m sure I’ll make a hundred times about the NBA squad in New Orleans before my career is over.

La Velle E. Neal III of the Star Tribune illustrates the Twins interests in the Santanas, Johan and Ervin. Check it out.

Soooo Dana Wessel tweeted this….

I laughed at the notion of censored Slim Shady. I start listening to the Marshall Mathers LP 2 that I had to scavenge the whole town of Hudson to find, only to find out that I accidentally bought the censored version. Yep. There’s holes in my rap. In the little bit of rap I enjoy.

Anyway, if you enjoy the raps, I suggest checking out the latest from Eminem.
