		<description>I think it was all in good fun. Most of the Mauer Tweets were kind-hearted; there were a few going around that got a little malicious about Mauer&#039;s 2011 performance, but the ones reprinted above are all friendly in nature. In fact, the ones about the kittens and the geese were downright complimentary.

 

Actually, I think the &quot;aw, shucks&quot; shyness and humble demeanor the tweets were poking fun at is one of the biggest reasons Twins fans like Joe Mauer. His attitude is a nice contrast to some other Minnesota pro athletes (who shall remain nameless) who have been arrested and caused trouble in recent years.

 

The Head and Shoulders one was my favorite.</description>
