MINNEAPOLIS — The Twins incredible start to June took an unexpected day off on Tuesday as severe storms rolled through the Minneapolis area forcing the game to be postponed.

The interesting part of this is instead of make it up tomorrow as a Day/Night doubleheader, the Twins and White Sox won’t make this game up until the next time the Sox come to town which isn’t until August at the earliest. The Sox are back in town to start September as well so if the game isn’t made up in August, the September series would be the last logical time to do it.

If you had tickets to the game, DON”T LOSE THEM!! You still have tickets to the game, it’s just on a new date. The Twins issued this statement to various outlets regarding fans with tickets.

Tickets for the rescheduled game are not subject to refunds or exchanges. Fans are encouraged to visit www.twinsbaseball.com, call 612-33-TWINS (612-338-9467) or 800-33-TWINS      (800-338-9467), or visit the Target Field Box Office during normal business hours for detailed information on the Twins’ rainout policy, which is outlined below.
