Outside of that, from what I seen the answer is all of the above. A lack of focus, the bullpen, basic defensive and baserunning mistakes, lack of production at the plate, injuries, freak things, etc, all play into this team being 9-18.

So many things have gone wrong in the season’s first month that it’s kind of staggering when you try to wrap your head around it.

Relief pitching? Blown leads and also those “nuclear” innings.

Focus meaning the errors and unearned runs?

Hitting? Meaning, timely and clutch hitting.

Or, even perhaps that there isn’t a dominating starter? Liriano could be. But, it doesn’t feel like that right now.
