At least one of the four games went forth as scheduled and even better it turned out to be a win for the Miracle.

Despite being down 5-1 after 5 innings, Fort Myers rallied to score 5 in the 6th and 3 in the 8th.

For the second straight game, the Miracle cranked out 15 hits and once again every player in the lineup had a hit except one. This time around, the odd man out was Johnathan Goncalves who went 0-3 with 2 BB. The middle infield duo of 2B James Beresford and SS Brian Dozier combined to go 6-9 (3-5 and 3-4 respectively) with 2 R, 1 2B, 1 3B and 1 RBI. CF Aaron Hicks, 1B Nathan Hanson and C Danny Rams also had multi-hit games. Rams (1) and Hanson (2) both hit 2-run HR and LF Chris Hermann contributed a 2B.

Miracle hurlers collectively gave up 6 runs, but only 3 of them were earned. RHP Matt Schuld, RHP Jhon Garcia and RHP Shooter Hunt combined for 7.0 IP, 10 H, 6 R, 5 BB and 8 SO. RHP Bruce Pugh pitched 2.0 innings to finish the game and pick up his 3rd save. He allowed 1 H and 1 BB while striking out 3. A 19th round selection from the 2008 draft, Pugh has pitched 5.1 scoreless innings this year with a 8:1 SO/BB rate.

Current Record: 6-4

Beloit Snappers:

Weather certainly hasn’t been cooperating with Beloit so far this year. For the 2nd day in a row – and for the 3rd time already this season – the Snappers were rained out. The team is set to take on the Cedar Rapids Kernals in a double header today, with one of the games a result of Friday’s rain out. Saturday’s game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on June 14th.

Current Record: 5-3
