It’s Been One Week!

It’s Friday night and that means it has been exactly one week since we launched Puckett’s Pond. That also means it has been one week since I rejoined the ranks of Twins writers and returned to my team-based writing roots.

Things have gone swimmingly (sorry – can’t help it) well in week one and I wanted to step back and publicly thank all the other members of the Twins blogosphere for the warm reception. I’m slowly trying to contact all of you, so if you haven’t heard from me, rest assured you probably will in the coming weeks. A big thanks also goes out to a handful of non-Twins sites for linking to some of our content.

Thanks to the snow days and other events, my writing time has been in shorter supply this week than I would have liked, but I’ve still managed to publish 7 articles in 7 days. I have a lot of site maintenance to tackle as well as a lot more networking and site promotion to do in the coming weeks but we’re off to a good start and I’ve got some big plans in mind.

As far as what the immediate future holds here on the Pond, internal discussions and debates are under way as I work with the lead writers from our Royals, Indians, White Sox and Tigers sites to set our All-Division team. There are a number of article ideas that have been born out of those discussions which I hope to develop, research and write. On top of those articles, I have 9 more 2010 Twins’ debuts to cover over the next several weeks and I’m hoping to put together an official Puckett’s Pond prospect list as well.

Spring Training is going to be here before I know it!

For now, however, I need to get some sleep. It’s only been one week but it’s been a long, exciting and exhausting one.
