Twins Sign 23rd Rounder Dallas Gallant

According to Baseball America’s Jim Callis, the Twins signed their 23rd round pick Dallas Gallant. The righty from Sam Houston State got a $122,500 signing bonus.
Gallant started 12 games for SHSU this year and struck out 78 batters in 84 innings. He played in the Cape Cod League this summer and appeared to add some mph onto his fastball as well as sharpening up his breaking stuff. He will likely be a reliever in pro ball.
