Condrey on DL, Burnett Called Up

Twins pitcher Clay Condrey will start the season on the 15 day DL. In his place the Twins have called up Alex Burnett from AAA Rochester.
Burnett’s strikeout rates really jumped in 2009, as he had a 10.32 k/9 in A+ and an 8.46 in AA ball. Burnett is just 22, and throws a high 80s-low 90s two seamer, a slider, change, and curveball.
The Twins blog Josh’s Thoughts ranked Burnett the 16th best player in the Twins system.
